West House Trellis Warmer Backcloth

West House Trellis was inspired by a small fragment of a 19th Century French ‘fichu’, a traditional handkerchief. With its meandering motif, it was very much designed to speak to West House Trail, its sister fabric. The juxtaposition of scale between these interplaying designs is key, with them very much standing alone, as well as together.

Hand screen printed in England using traditional techniques on a variety of Irish linen backcloths, West House Trellis is available on both a warm and pale, pure Irish linen backcloth, as well as a beautifully light voile—each offering a unique character and finish to suit a range of settings. It is also available in a dramatic unique alternative design as West House Trellis Noire.
