Sifnos Azure - 12.7m

This simple, sophisitcated design derives from a 19^th century French Provençale printed fichu traditionally used as a neckerchief. The original piece was dominated by a larger motif, but when reworked as this distinctive, standalone ladder stripe, it became reminiscent of a simpler Mediterranean pattern, hence its Greek island inspired name. The working up of a palette that incorporates infinitely useable blues and reds as well as less expected, warmer tones makes this print a standalone hero as well as a more unifying background staple. Hand printed in England on 100% linen, Sifnos is available in six different colourways and works wonderfully for upholstery, drapery and walling.
